PRESENTED BY USA NETWORKS AND SPONSORED BY TU TWIST

USA Network will premiere their new drama series QUEEN OF THE SOUTH at the opening night of the Hispanicize Film Showcase with a VIP red carpet, talent signing, cocktail reception sponsored by ViveMejor and discussion panel with the cast, moderated by Entertainment Weekly’s Nina Terrero. Just before the main event, ViveMejor, the Official Food Sponsor for Hispanicize, will celebrate the launch of their new webseries, Tu Twist, by airing the inaugural episode starring Telemundo’s Giselle Blondet and written by Comedy Central’s Arturo Castro. USA will also plan a social media activation where attendees will enjoy an interactive photo booth at the conference; plus, all screening audience members will receive a copy of the internationally-acclaimed novel, “La Reina Del Sur,” in addition to more exciting giveaways and prizes. QUEEN OF THE SOUTH tells the powerful story of Teresa Mendoza, a woman who is forced to run and seek refuge in America after her drug-dealing boyfriend is unexpectedly murdered in Mexico. In the process, she teams with an unlikely figure from her past to bring down the leader of the very drug trafficking ring that has her on the run. Starring Alice Braga (“City of God”) as Teresa, the original drama series is based on the global best-selling novel “La Reina Del Sur,” by internationally-acclaimed author Arturo Pérez-Reverte.
